I bought the Full Spectrum CBD Unscented Lotion because the Alivia Topicals Active Therapy wasn’t available. I do regret buying it, I should have waited for the Active Therapy to come back in stock but I was already buying a CBD tincture so I decided to take a chance. It is a good alternative for those who absolutely need an unscented product and want to mostly steer clear of THC. The Active Therapy version is more effective for my severe chronic pain. From trying many cannabis topicals, I have observed that essential oils work extremely well in synergy with CBD and THC, making a product much more effective in pain management. Having senses hypersensitivity from being autistic (Asperger), I prefer to use cannabis topicals with essential oils and natural extracts even if the scent is strong. In my case, pain relief trumps everything! It’s really a personnal choice. I have also observed that cannabis topicals are stronger with a good proportion of THC. A ratio of 1:1 or more THC than CBD is more effective if pain is moderate to strong. No need to be scared of THC when applied to skin, there are no psychotropic effects like when ingesting THC.
